Your feet say what your mouth won’t… apparently.
So Cece (remember Jess’s model friend?) is at a bar when she see’s her boyfriend making out with someone else so she calls Jess to come pick her up… she then asks Jess if its ok if she crashes at her place.
Cut to the apartment where Schmidt is wearing a Kimono. Winston tells him to take it off, they get into an argument and Winston says that he’s going to wear whatever he wants around the house and rips his pants off (and I find it weird that they just come right off.. there is no resistance whatsoever. Were these prop pants? Was he saving them for a special occasion where he just needs to rip them off?) and puts napkins and paper towels all over himself. Cue Jess and Cece walking in on this… embarrassing. Jess goes off to get pillows and a blanket for Cece and comes back to find Cece, Schmidt and Winston dancing while Nick looks on with a weird expression on his face. Cece tries to get Nick to dance, rips off his shirt… and its time for everyone to go to bed. Schmidt “sheepdogs” Cece into sleeping in his bed, he takes the couch. Schmidt is ecstatic that she is in her room.
The next morning Cece wakes up to find Schmidt hanging from her door, she maneuvers around him and goes to take a shower. All the boys are hanging around the bathroom while she’s in there (awkward) and Jess hustles her out of the bathroom, exclaiming that she is very disappointed in all of them… especially Nick. (ooooohhhhhhh!)
In Jess’s room, Cece asks Jess if she was upset that she was dancing with Nick. Jess says no, Cece says that she thinks Nick likes Jess (YES!). Her reasoning is that his feet were pointed directly at her, and men’s feet always point in the direction of what they want. Nick knocks on the door, asks if needs anything at the store and Cece basically throws Jess at him. The two end up going together.
While Jess and Nick are gone, Winston and Schmidt are making a play for Cece. Schmidt basically makes an ass out of himself, Winston is more subtle. They are both bothering her.
Jess and Nick are at the store, Jess notices other couples; one is obviously in love and their feet are pointed right at eachother, the other is obviously not and their feet are pointed away from each other. Jess looks down: Nick’s feet are pointed right at her. She tries to maneuver around but no matter how hard she tries, Nick’s feet are still pointed at her. Later in the car, Jess is freaking out because she thinks Nick is into her. A street vendor comes up and offers her roses, Nick buys her some, and she jumps out of the car and runs home.
Cut to the apartment. Cece and Winston are making Schmidt look like an idiot trying to win Cece’s affections. She tells him to go wait for him on the roof and she’ll be there in 10 minutes. Problem is there is a cat on the roof that Schmidt is afraid of, but he goes up there anyway. Jess walks in, explains how she jumped out of Nick’s car because of the whole feet thing. Nick comes in, says that he was worried about Jess and she can’t go roaming around. Nick storms off, Jess yells at Cece telling her that she’s ruining things and doesn’t know what it’s like to have guy friends. We hear a scream from the roof: Schmidt is cornered by the cat (really Schmidty… the cats not going to freakin hurt you!) Jess get’s Schmidt to come down.
Later that night, Cece is in bed when Schmidt knocks on the door. He explains that he just wants to sleep in his own bed, and to my surprise she agrees (and now I’m completely rooting for a Schmidt/Cece hook up: Schmeila? I don’t know… we’ll work on it). The two talk about how they both hate sleeping alone and Cece ends up grabbing his hand and she falls asleep.
Meanwhile, Jess is in the bathroom brushing her teeth when Nick walks in. Jess apologizes about being weird all day, Nick says it’s ok and the two share a very poignant look (and an adorable smile! I need my own Nick who doesn’t mind my weird awkwardness… seriously.). I really hope these two get together… I REALLY REALLY DO!
Winston: “What’s between you and that chair?” Schmidt: “Just a little bit of sunshine.”
Nick: “Just stop being so nice!” Jess: “Your mothers being so nice.” Nick: “Slam on my mother.” Jess: “Your mothers going to slam on your mother.”
Jess: “I’m not like you! I I don’t just jump into the potato sack with the first potato I meet with diabetes!”
Cece: “You tell anyone we held hands, I have two people in my phone that will kill you. Literally.”
Overall Grade: A. There was so much development in this episode and all of it made me ecstatic. First of all Nick and Jess… that is SO going to happen… and if it doesn’t I’m going to be pissed. And I know I’m not the only one that will be. Also, Cece and Schmidty… I hope that happens, but I don’t see that happening for a long time. If the show gets picked up (and right now it’s chances are looking really good) I believe that will happen in a later season, maybe three or four. Anyway, the storyline was great, the episode was hilarious and I found myself dying of laughter.
